Overview
Familiars are bound to serve a warlord by a blood pact. You can make pacts with captives taken after battle. There is a limit to the number of familiars you can have; any familiars beyond this number are held in the wagon for 24 hours. Sell familiars or make them into Blood Brothers to thin their ranks.
Familiar Rarity
There are 5 types of rarity in Blood Brothers

| Uncommon | UC | The next rarest level above common. | capture, bronze cp, silver cp, or by evolving common game pieces |
| Rare | R | The next rarest level above uncommon. | bronze cp, and silver cp, capture(bosses), and through evolving certain uncommons. |
| Epic | E | The highest rarity level. | scarlet cp, or by evolving rares or certain uncommons. |
IMPORTANT NOTES: most familiars can change their rarity through evolving, a common can become an uncommon and an uncommon can become rare and so on.
1,)Familiars with 4 stars usually can step up their rarity by one.
2.)Familiars with 2 stars will most likely not step up a rarity level when evolved.
3.)Familiars may gain new skills through evolution.
4.)Some special familiars such as the "dwarven rider" will step up 2 rarity levels through evolution!
5.)all familiars will be listed, but some are the same, just evolved to thier higher state.
Example: "skelenton warrior" (4 stars) common "skeleton spearman" (3 of 4 stars) uncommon
Races

| Highlander | A race more ancient, wise, and long-lived than the race of men. Highlanders are stoic, seeking to purify their minds through meditation and pilgrimage. |
| Darklander | Branded the betrayers of the Highlanders, this race still worships the old gods. They believe emotion must be embraced, not controlled. |
| Westerner | These people dwell in the vast feudal kingdoms of the west. |
| Easterner | These people dwell in the vast feudal kingdoms of the east. |
| Ape | An advanced race of primates who make their home in the jungles of the western Lowlands. Their ranks consist of gorillas, orangutans, and baboons. |
| Lizardman | A broad term for the reptiles who dwell in the swamps of the eastern Lowlands. They have forged an empire from the crocodile, raptor, turtle, and chameleon realms. |
| Dwarf | A race that dwells deep beneath the western lands. They have mastered the arts of gas lighting and steam power, using these to forge their war machines. |
| Goblin | A crude race that dwells deep beneath the eastern lands. |
| Undead | The living dead who have been reanimated in a blight scourging the world. Of late, it seems they are led by some greater power. |
| Shades | When a familiar makes a Blood Brothers pact with a shade, it gains more Skill XP than usual. If you find a shade, access the Blood Brothers menu from the Home Screen to use it in a pact. |
Stat Growth
There are three types of stat growth: fast, normal, and late bloomer. After gaining a level, familiars gain stats such as ATK and DEF at varying rates depending on their type.

| Late Bloomer | Stats increase slowly at first, then much more quickly at higher levels. |
Stats
A warlord or familiar's underlying attributes. Each character has its own strengths and weaknesses.
| Attribute | Description |
|---|---|
| HP | Hit points. Characters lose HP when they take damage in battle. |
| Regaining HP | Familiars placed in reserve regain HP with each step taken. You can also use dried sage to fully restore the HP of one familiar. |
| XP | The experience points earned as you encounter and defeat enemies while exploring a zone. When the XP gauge fills, the character gains a level. |
| ATK | The ability to deal damage in combat. |
| DEF | Protection against damage received in combat. |
| WIS | Determines magic potency. Also protects against magical attacks. |
| AGI | More agile characters can act before their foes during battle. |
Leveling Up
When a familiar gains a level, its HP are restored and its stats improve. When your warlord gains a level, your energy is fully replenished.
